Hot food and snacks will be available for purchase from the bar area in case you get hungry while attending the event. A cloak room will be available for visitors to leave their belongings during their visit. Tastings will be held during each session but these will require a separate ticket so make sure you grab your tickets early as places will be limited!
Beer samples are purchased using beer coupons, which can be purchased via card or swish in the main entrance. A booklet of 10 coupons costs 250kr and a beer sample can vary in size up to 10cl. Umeå Beer Festival is a cashless event.
The age limit for the festival is 18+ and ID will be required at the entrance. Tickets are not personal and can be transferred to another adult.
Umeå Beer Festival is a strong supporter of diversity and co-operation. We welcome all genders, ages and nationalities to our festival. Intolerance, bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in offenders being removed from the festival. We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcomed in the festival, and we look forward to a relaxed event with diversity and fun for everyone.

We are also proud to say that we will also have an alcohol free bar, where guests will be given a sample of alcohol free beer as long as stocks last.
Tastings
We will be holding tastings and workshops during the festival.
Tickets for these events are sold seperately and are not included in the price of the entrance ticket. To attend one of the tastings or workshops, you need an entrance ticket for any of the sessions.
For example, you can attend a tasting or workshop on the Friday even if you have a festival entrance ticket for the Saturday or vice versa.

Beer Battle
The battle begins! The breweries are invited to join in a competition to decide which beer will be crowned champion of the festival. Beers will be split into different style classes, with the winners of the groups going head to head to claim the ultimate prize of Beer Battle Champion! The judging panel will consist of a hand picked panel of sommeliers and beer judges from Umeå Folkets Hus.

With 30 years of sommelier experience in Michelin star Stockholm restaurants, Pelle is a winner of silver medals in the Guldbricken waiter of the year awards.
